Gold Stater

This Iron Age Celtic Gold Stater is thought to have been minted between 50BC and 43AD. It is inscribed "VEP CORF" with a classic celtic horse motif. On the reverse there is an abstract image based originally on Jupiter wearing a laurel leaf. It was found in Mill Lane, Mnacetter.
